In most cases even your name and phone number are not revealed. In addition, you don't have to bother entering your card number every time and you can use any major card or even your bank account to make a purchase. Finally, you can use Shop Shield® to make just about any online purchase including travel reservations and event tickets.

The Shop Shield® site is secured using a combination of proprietary and industry standard methods, and certified by Equifax with the “locked” symbol at the bottom of the browser. Your data is encrypted while in transfer and Shop Shield® stores it in fragments that are useless if stolen.

Subscribers’ personal data is fragmented and stored in several different locations that are protected by extensive firewall barriers and transmitted only when you are using Shop Shield®. Even if a criminal stole all your data he would not be able to make sense out of the fragments. Access is monitored 24 hours a day.

One-time Use Card Provides maximum protection. One-time use card (also referred to as “anonymous checkout”) information will expire and become useless and untraceable after your purchase is completed. As a result, you’ll need to create unique one-time use checkout info at the Shop Shield® web site for every purchase. Reusable Credit Card Provides additional convenience and allows you to accumulate frequent shopper rewards. Create reusable card (also referred to as “anonymous checkout”) information for sites you shop at regularly, as well as subscription sites such as Netflix® or iTunes® that bill your card repeatedly. Reusable checkout information remains valid for one year, however, for security purposes it can only be used at the merchant for which it was created.

They aren’t really. Homeland Security’s Federal guidelines require that you give real passenger names to the airline web site. Therefore, the name on the anonymous card Shop Shield® creates will be your actual name. However, your billing information and email address can still remain anonymous.

Yes, your real name is always used as the passenger. All listed passengers that provide airline frequent flyer numbers will get the usual frequent flyer points.
